Warranty Policy
We want you to buy with confidence. Every refurbished iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch sold by Refurb Phone is covered by a 12-month warranty against technical faults and manufacturing defects, in addition to your statutory UK & EU consumer rights.
Whatโs Covered
- Hardware faults developing under normal use (e.g., logic board, buttons, microphones, speakers, cameras, ports, biometrics where originally present).
- Display defects not caused by impact or pressure damage.
- Charging and connectivity faults (e.g., USB/Lightning port failure, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth failure).
- Battery functional faults and sudden failure.
Whatโs Not Covered
- Accidental damage (drops, impacts, cracked screens) or liquid damage of any kind.
- Cosmetic wear and tear consistent with the deviceโs grade.
- Unauthorised repairs, modifications, or opening the device.
- Software issues, third-party app problems, or data loss.
- Damage caused by unsupported accessories or chargers.
Battery & Battery Health
All devices are sold with minimum 80% battery health at the time of sale (often higher). The warranty covers functional battery faults and sudden failure. Natural capacity reduction over time is normal wear and is not considered a manufacturing defect.
Water Resistance
Water resistance ratings on used/refurbished devices can diminish with age. We do not guarantee water resistance on refurbished Apple Watches or iPhones/iPads, and liquid damage is excluded from warranty.
Accessories
Supplied accessories (charging cable/strap) are covered against defect on arrival. Cosmetic wear of accessories is not covered.

Looks virtually new with minimal or no cosmetic marks.
Very Good
Light signs of use that are barely noticeable.
Fair
Visible cosmetic wear, fully functional and testedโthe most budget-friendly option.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
- Contact us: Email support@refurb-phone.com with your order number, device model/IMEI, description of the fault, and photos/video if helpful.
- Backup & sign-out: Back up data and sign out of iCloud/Find My (for Apple devices) before sending.
- Packaging: Pack securely. Weโll provide return instructions and an RMA reference.
- Assessment: Our technicians diagnose the device. If a covered fault is confirmed, weโll proceed with the remedy below.
Remedy
For confirmed, covered faults, we will, at our discretion:
- Repair the device using appropriate parts; or
- Replace with a device of equal or higher grade/spec; or
- Provide an alternative resolution in line with UK & EU consumer protections.
Shipping Costs
We will cover all shipping costs for warranty claims, both to and from our service centre.
Response & Turnaround Times
We aim to acknowledge claims within 1โ2 working days and complete all repairs within 3 working days of receiving the device. Timescales may vary if parts are required, but weโll keep you updated.
Important Notes
- Please keep your proof of purchase. Warranty applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
- Warranty is void if the device has been opened or modified by an unauthorised party.
- We are not responsible for data loss. Always back up your data before sending a device in.
